For the past fourteen years I have had a rare blood disorder.
Sometimes it is in remission and life sails along. Sometimes it’s an annoyance and sometimes it’s dangerous.
Recently I had to step away from visiting my favorite place on earth, Lake Tahoe, because my health was too precarious.
Logical choice though a bit heart breaking.
These are the moments when you get to choose to fight or surrender and sometimes surrendering means you get to fight another day.

Are you listening to what your being is telling you?
Are your words and actions in sync?
Are you out of integrity with your Values?
Might be time for a tune up.
It is our duty as humans to care.
Years ago there was a woman in my life who could no longer see a purpose in staying alive. She was really just an acquaintance but I was her choice of lifeline. For months she would call five to ten times a day sometimes pleading with me to permit her to die.
Of course I beseeched her to seek help and eventually I contacted her brother, though I had sworn not to. Time and medication stabilized her and I was no longer needed. But it taught me never to look the other way, to always speak up and offer assistance.
What about you?
Can you help?
Do you need help?

There have been many times I’ve wanted to say stop this week.
To world events,
Mostly to the atrocities and hate we seem to be heaping on each other.
Just stop…… please
Poisonous gas Intentionally killing humans,
The perpetrators of this atrocity deserve the unspeakable
Have we learned nothing?
Some days we make all the right choices,
Some days we don’t.
The decision is ours alone to make
It’s been a long week.
